The detailstell the story.

LBD Restoration is three things that turn out to be one: a curated collection of mid-century furniture, a restoration studio, and a school for reading furniture before you buy it. All of it comes from the same hands and the same eye.

10+years of furniture experience

Section I: Hands

A selectiverestoration atelier.

A high-end studio specializing exclusively in exceptional mid-century modern furniture. Selective by design — an atelier rather than a repair shop or an antique store — built around craftsmanship, authenticity, and respect for original construction. Refinishing, structural repairs, and tasteful, era-appropriate color changes; upholstery is outside the current scope.

Section II: Eye

Chosen by peoplewho restore.

Every piece in the collection is one of one, selected by people who understand restoration and original construction — which means what arrives has been read closely before it was ever offered. Restored where it needed to be, left alone where it didn’t.

Section III: Teaching

The same eye,written down.

Reading construction, materials and original character is at the center of the restoration work — and it is exactly what the Field School teaches collectors to do for themselves. Three guides, one way of looking: identify, inspect, investigate.

Good design deservesanother life.
