Section 01: Object record

Andreu World Swivel Chair

An Andreu World upholstered swivel chair on a four-leg wood base, with sloped arms and a roomy seat. United States, 2000s.

The original textured upholstery gives this contemporary chair a mid-century-inspired look, though it is not a vintage or mid-century piece.

It is fitted with a self-return swivel mechanism designed to turn the chair back to its starting position when unoccupied (reported to work; not independently tested).

The Andreu World label is clearly visible on the underside dust cover and on the mechanism tag (photo 7).
