Section 01: Object record

Pearsall Lounge Chair

A walnut-framed lounge chair designed by Adrian Pearsall for Craft Associates, United States, circa 1960s.

The frame carries the design: sculptural walnut legs, a solid walnut member across the front, and arms angled outward from the seat. The proportions are low and open, as lounge seating of the period tends to be.

Seating is a single loose seat cushion with one removable back cushion, both liftable for turning or cleaning.

The chair has been newly upholstered in an off-white fabric with new high-density foam throughout, refreshing the seating surfaces while retaining the original walnut frame.

The walnut legs and details keep their original oiled finish, which shows minor wear consistent with age.
