Section 01: Object record

Lane Nine-Drawer Dresser

A nine-drawer walnut dresser by Lane Furniture, made in the United States circa 1960s.

At 74 inches wide it is a long, low case piece, with nine drawers giving substantial storage across that span. The proportions suit a bedroom but work equally well along a wall in a living or dining room.

The drawer fronts carry sculptural pulls, and the case sits on recessed tapered feet — set in from the corners, which lifts the piece visually and keeps the long horizontal line from reading as heavy.

A Lane Furniture label is present inside the top drawer.

The dresser retains its original finish, and the drawers run smoothly.
