By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or make a purchase. You must be able to form a legally binding contract to make a purchase — generally, at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.

LBD Restoration offers two kinds of products: educational digital guides (currently The Material Atlas, The Mid-Century Detective, The Field Kit, and the Complete Buyer's Bundle), and physical vintage furniture, when furniture purchasing is available. These Terms apply to both, with additional specific terms below for each.

Digital products, such as The Material Atlas, The Mid-Century Detective, and The Field Kit, are delivered electronically — as a downloadable file and, for customers with an account, an online reader. There is no physical book shipped.

When you purchase a digital product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use it for your own personal, non-commercial reference. You may not redistribute, resell, publicly share, or reproduce the content, in whole or in part, without our express written permission.

All content within our digital products — text, images, layout, and design — is the intellectual property of LBD Restoration and is protected by copyright. Purchasing a digital product does not transfer any ownership of that intellectual property to you.

Because digital products are delivered instantly and irrevocably upon purchase, and except where required by applicable law, digital product purchases are not eligible for refund once access has been granted.

All furniture offered by LBD Restoration is vintage, pre-owned, and sold as an individual, one-of-one piece unless expressly stated otherwise. Age-related variations, wear, patina, and other characteristics disclosed in the product listing are part of the condition of the piece and should be reviewed carefully before purchase. Photographs and descriptions are provided in good faith to represent each piece accurately, but minor variations in color or finish may appear differently depending on lighting and display.

Furniture availability is limited to actual current inventory and may change at any time. From time to time, furniture purchasing may be temporarily unavailable even while pieces remain visible on the website for browsing — this does not affect the accuracy of the prices or descriptions shown.

When furniture purchasing is available: Local Pickup is offered at no charge from 10534 York Rd, Cockeysville, Maryland, by appointment; we will contact you after purchase to coordinate pickup. Professional White-Glove Delivery, where offered, is available within the contiguous 48 United States for the delivery fee shown at checkout; delivery may take up to approximately four weeks depending on destination and carrier scheduling, and we will contact you with an expected delivery window after purchase — exact delivery dates are not guaranteed.

ALL FURNITURE SALES ARE FINAL. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations of a completed furniture purchase, except where required by applicable law or where we expressly agree otherwise.

Damage occurring while furniture is in the custody of an independent delivery carrier is handled in accordance with that carrier's terms, insurance, and claims procedures, and applicable law; we will assist you throughout that process. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are subject to change without notice, except that the price you agree to at checkout for a specific order will not change after your purchase is confirmed.

You agree not to: use this website for any unlawful purpose; attempt to circumvent the protections on our digital content or gain unauthorized access to another customer's account, order, or purchased content; interfere with the security or normal operation of the website; or submit false or fraudulent information when placing an order or inquiry.

This website and its content are provided "as is." While we make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, images, and information are accurate, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LBD Restoration's total liability arising out of or relating to your use of this website or a purchase made through it will not exceed the amount you actually paid for the product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits any right or remedy that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date below. Continued use of the website after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, without limiting any consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your own place of residence.
