An exceptional Danish Modern teak draw-leaf dining table by Vejle Stole Møbelfabrik, made in Denmark during the 1960s.
Designed for versatility, the table features two built-in self-storing draw leaves that allow it to expand from a substantial everyday dining table into a much larger surface. Simply pull out a leaf from one or both ends to increase the table's length. Fully extended, the table reaches an impressive 94.25 inches and can comfortably accommodate a larger dining setting.
Each integrated leaf measures 13.625 inches, allowing the table to be used closed, partially extended with one leaf, or fully extended with both leaves.
The rectangular teak top displays rich color, attractive grain, and a naturally aged patina. Strong, clean-lined legs and thoughtful Danish construction give the table a refined architectural presence while maintaining the functionality associated with Scandinavian modern design.
When fully extended, its generous proportions also make it suitable as a large worktable or conference table.
A versatile example of Danish design that combines quality craftsmanship, functional engineering, and the warmth of vintage teak.
Good to very good original vintage condition with minor surface wear consistent with age and use. The teak has developed an attractive aged patina. The table remains firm, strong, and sturdy, and the built-in extension system provides a highly functional design without requiring separate loose leaves.
