Section 01: Object record

Baker Dining Table

A mid-century walnut extension dining table by Baker Furniture, attributed to designer Michael Taylor. United States, circa 1960s, with Hollywood Regency touches.

The racetrack-shaped top displays richly figured walnut grain within a subtly banded edge, set on tapered round legs that meet the apron at each corner and end in the original brass-capped feet.

Three 14" extension leaves take the table from a closed 53¾" length to approximately 96", and the Baker Furniture maker's mark is present underneath.
