Section 01: Object record

Teak Sofa & Armchair Set

A Danish mid-century seating pair — a three-seat sofa and matching lounge armchair, in the style of Illum Wikkelsø for Niels Eilersen. Denmark, circa 1970s.

Exposed teak frames, sculpted angular arms, and open slatted backs give the set a strong architectural presence from every angle, including from behind.

Each piece has loose, generously sized seat and back cushions in the original striped upholstery.

Sold together as one set — the sofa and armchair are not available separately.

Condition report

Good vintage structural condition. The teak frames are sound, with minor surface wear consistent with age. The original upholstery shows wear from years of use — a buyer may wish to reupholster, and the existing covers can serve as a template for that.
