Section 01: Object record

Teak Wall Unit

A striking Danish teak freestanding modular wall unit, attributed to Hans Wegner for RY Møbler, dating to the 1960s.

Designed to function as both storage and display, the unit features two adjustable and removable upper shelves above a lower cabinet with sliding double doors. The cabinet opens to reveal additional storage with removable shelving, while its elevated construction and supporting rod create a light, architectural appearance.

Unlike a conventional wall-mounted system, this piece is completely freestanding. Its finished back allows it to work beautifully as a room divider in an open floor plan or as a standalone bookcase and storage piece against a wall.

Rich teak grain and warm tonal variation give the piece a strong visual presence while its clean lines make it versatile enough for a living room, dining room, office, or bedroom.

A Danish Control mark is present on the underside.

A matching single-column unit with drawers is also available separately.
